For the most part, whatever you type into the input box in RinkChat is what will be posted. However, there are some special codes you can enter to accomplish certain things:
<i> ... </i>
Any text you put between <i> and </i> tags will be italicized. Most HTML code will not display in RinkChat, but this tag will be accepted and interpreted. If you forget to put the closing </i> tag in, RinkChat will do it for you.
<r> ... </r>
Any text between <r> and </r> tags will appear in boldfaced red. If you forget to put in the closing </r> tag in, RinkChat will do it for you.
Depending on how the permissions are set, this may be available only to certain administrative users, in which case the intended purpose for red text is for an administrative user to get people's attention.
