Assault on Vampire Island - Lab?

I am stuck in the castle and can't get past Dracula. I note some references to a lab in this forum but have been unable to get to it (with or without the lights on). Any assistance greatly appreciated.

Current inventory is:
Bottle of Acid
Crowbar
Rose
Threatening Note

Box of Matches
Digital Watch
Small Metal Key
Werewolf's Fang

Bucket Filled With Water
Rope
Sword
