I heard a guy naming his Ford Escort, but I can't put any of the names here.
My son-in-law, who just bought the new bug, usually names his cars. There was "Old Blue" "Humpy" and "Ralph." I can't wait to hear what he names the new one. Naming cars never seemed strange to me. I had a bicycle in the late 40's and it's name was Elmer. I wish I still had it. I also name some of my motor scooters. I named my '74 Vespa Dino after Dean Martin. I got it the day old Dino died. He and the scooter are both Italian. My oldest scooter, the '47 Cushman is named George after an old friend of mine, and I sometime call the Highlander Jack after the guy who sold it to me. No names yet for the Eagle, the '72 Vespa, or the Allstate. The Hondas and the Benelli aren't scooters so I doubt that I will ever name them. How"and you thought I was sane"ard
