Well it is 4:20 in the afternoon and I got up about an hour ago. The reason? Apart form being a lazy lazy student? Living in England as I do, I was required (nay, forced) to stay up until 4:45 this morning to watch the extravaganza that is the Winter Olympics Opening Ceremony. What a visual feast that was. Cool performances from Robbie Robertson and the Red Road Ensemble, The Dixie Chicks, Sting, Yo Yo Ma and LeAnne Rimes...it was great. I was a little confused by the whole 'Child of Light', 'Storm of Life' and 'Inner Flame of Inspiration' thing though. On the whole though, good stuff Salt Lake City, 16 days of staying up until 4:00 to watch the figure skating lies ahead of me!
