House of Leaves

Is anyone else watching the Stephen King miniseries on ABC called "Rose Red?"

It seems like the same idea as "House of Leaves," by Mark Z. Danielewski. Both stories involve a house which is bigger on the inside than the outside, with odd dimensional goings-on.

But "House of Leaves" was a unique and innovative novel, and "Rose Red" seems like tripe.

Anyway, if any of you are watching "Rose Red," I want to recommend a good book which plays with some of the same ideas only in a more interesting way.
